iPhone 5 and iPad 3 components are being sent to the assembly/production line

Dual-core A6 processor, check. High-definition Retina displays, check. 8 megapixel 1080p back-lit cameras, check. NFC chips, check... DigiTimes has got news that Apple is assembling the list of iPhone 5 and iPad 3 components this month and sending them off to the production line. According to their source, the new iDevices should see the light of day in the September-October time frame, which breaks the fruit company's annual refresh cycle, notably the iPads, seeing the iPad 2 was only released a few months ago, so thats questionable. Nonetheless, will you be emptying your wallet on Apples shiny new toys?

Editors Thoughts: In my opinion I don't see Apple releasing a "whole new iPad" in 2011, it doesn't make sense. Why? Firstly, as mentioned in the article, the release would break the iPad refresh cycle. Will Apple be releasing a new iPad every 6 months from now on? Its very unlikely. Secondly, Steve Jobs mentioned at WWDC 2011 that 2011 is "the year of the iPad 2", and that speaks for itself. However, the iPhone is due for a refresh and to be honest, I'm very excited to see what it has to offer.
